At Bridgewater State University, the well-being and safety of students, faculty, and staff, are our highest priority.
To make the most of your education at Bridgewater, you need to maintain good health as well as physical, emotional and personal wellness. The Wellness Center offers a range of vital services and support to help you achieve these goals. Whether you need health advice, assistance in a crisis, or care for a specific illness or condition, our helpful and experienced staff members are at your service.
The BSU CARE Team is a multidisciplinary team of experts and points of contact that meet regularly to improve coordination and communication for the academic success, health and safety of the community.
The Bridgewater State University Police Department provides protection to the community 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Police Department staff work with community members to prevent crime, solve problems, and take proactive steps to make Bridgewater State University as safe as possible.The Department enforces state laws as well as university rules and regulations. All BSU police officers attend municipal police academy training and have full police authority on campus and throughout the town of Bridgewater.
From mid-August through May, the Health Services professional staff provide short-term clinical health care to the members of our community.
Counseling Services enhance our students’ physical and emotional wellbeing by offering preventive outreach programs and counseling services to help with adjustment issues and other psychological difficulties.
Through BSU Peer Educators, a select group of trained students, we provide workshops and presentations to students, staff, faculty and other campus groups and organizations interested in topics ranging from substance abuse to social issues.
